Craft Night

Craft night is an awesome girl's night activity! We did some painting and made festive, fall wreaths. All while enjoying some wine and homemade pumpkin spice lattes....yum! Ideas were gathered from Pinterest, and then we added our own flair. So grab some friends and supplies, and get to crafting!

Project Semicolon

Tattoos. I like tattoos, especially when they have a deeper meaning attached to them. I like to hear the story behind a tattoo, because it takes a lot for someone to permanently ink an image onto their skin. I currently have two tattoos. One is a fire dancer (yes, I am a major DMB fan), but it means a lot to me as I was going through a rough time in college and DMB's music really helped me cope. The fire dancer represents, at least to me, someone embracing themselves and life, dancing to the beat of their own drum. My other tattoo is a set of 4 stars on my ankle. I have 4 beautiful, awesome nieces and each star represents one of them. My next tattoo is going to be a semicolon tattoo on my wrist. While some might think it's trendy, I think it's a great way to support and encourage awareness of mental health issues. I have worked with children with mental health issues for 10 years, and also have my own struggles with anxiety and depression. Target: A love story

Target is a magical place where a person can spend $100 when all they really needed was some paper towels. Every time I walk into Target I find treasures that I must purchase. Do I need that vase? No, but it's on sale for $6.38 so I must buy it. Today I went to Target looking for a bubble machine for my niece, only to walk out with a new husband pillow, 2 bras, and shelving for my office--and no bubble machine. But that's okay....because everything was on sale...

Welcome!! I am new to this blog thing, but thought why not? It seems like a great way to share fun tips and ideas, as well as some cool things that I love. Speaking of love, the name of my blog is inspired by my puppies Daisy and Gracie! They are 8 year old schnauzers and the sweetest dogs ever. Daisy was my birthday present to myself one year, and Gracie followed soon after so Daisy wouldn't be lonely. Everyone needs a sister! Anyway, they are my babies and I love them, even when they steal my spot on the couch or bark their heads off at leaves in the yard...
